Early-stage Startups

We know early-stage startups have tight budgets. Our early-stage startup program is designed to offer guidance and help you create an executable project plan, while enabling you to handle most of the execution yourself. This approach keeps costs down, helps you reach your goals, and strengthens your internal capabilities, ultimately reducing dependence on external partners like us.

FAQs

  • How much does a prototype cost?

The cost of a prototype can be as low as a few thousand dollars. It really depends on the project complexity. Many of our projects are in the $25,000 to $100,000 range, but some projects are outside this range, in both directions.

To understand what this means for your project, book a time to speak with our team of engineers and designers.

  • What is our process?

All our projects are unique and require a custom approach. To learn more about our process watch this video or book a call to discuss this with our team.

  • What are our engineering and design capabilities?

We have engineering and design capabilities spanning mechanical, electrical and software engineering. This includes:

    • 3d Modelling (CAD)
    • PCB design
    • Electrical/electronics design
    • IoT systems
    • Structural analysis using FEA
    • Design and modelling of thermodynamic systems
    • Dynamic system modelling using Simulink/Simscape
    • Instrumentation systems
    • Machine learning and Artificial Intelligence
    • Advanced control systems design and implementation
    • Real-time optimisation
    • Design optimisation
  • What are our manufacturing capabilities?

We mostly manufacture prototypes in our own factory. This allows us to move quickly and to modify designs throughout the manufacturing process if necessary. In our factory we have the following capabilities:

    • Metal fabrication including TIG welding
    • Mechanical assembly
    • PCB assembly and testing
    • Electrical/electronic system assembly and testing
    • FDM 3d printing

We also have several trusted manufacturing partners. For projects that require processes that we do not have internally such as machining or laser cutting, we rely on these partners.

  • What are our engineering modelling capabilities?

Our modelling capabilities can be seperated into two broad categories.

    Computational Engineering

We have specialised expertise in computational engineering including automation of FEA based design optimisation and applying FEA to additive manufacturing.

Dynamic System Modelling - Simulink and Simscape

A lot of the modelling work that we do involves developing dynamic models of physical engineering systems using Simulink and Simscape. We can do this accross a range of domains and industries. Most of the work that we do in this space involves thermodynamic systems, such as compressed air, HVAC or atmospheric water generation.

  • Which industries do you serve?

Our services are industry agnostic. To date, we have completed projects across the following industries:

    • Renewable energy
    • Waste and recycling
    • Communication systems
    • Compressed air
    • Weather monitoring
    • HVAC
    • Water security
